I recently acquired this early Seiko catalog. The catalog contains men’s and ladies watches as well as their clock line up.
The catalog is presented as a binder containing individual hole punched pages that are held in the binder with a folding clip. The cover is 237 x 168 mm and the individual pages are 218 x 155 mm.
While there is not a date present on the catalog the first pages does show a single version of the first Seiko automatic model that was released in 1956. As there is just the single variant of this model I feel that the catalog is from late 1956 or possibly early 1957.
As you would expect from this period the watches featured in the men’s section are mainly Marvel and Unique models. There is also little differences in the styling between these watches that highlights how quickly the market evolved over the next few years producing a much wider range of styles and watch types.
I have provided a scanned copy of the catalog for others reference below.
